In this module, Dr. Jenelle S. Pitt, will discuss the following learning objectives in rehabilitation research:
- Demonstrate an understanding of what research in rehabilitation means;
- Discuss the unique factors impacting research that identifies individuals with disabilities from minority racial and ethnic backgrounds as the target population;
- Be generally conversant in research methods as they relate to racial and ethnic minorities;
- Discuss and critique published research articles and the impact that the research may have on rehabilitation outcomes for individuals with disabilities from minority racial and ethnic backgrounds; and
- Demonstrate the ability to critique a research proposal.
